Rodent Repellent System Installation - Ultrasonic & Electronic - Ahmedabad, Gujarat
Fire Systems Pvt. Ltd. is India's leading security and asset protection contractor. We design, supply, install, commission, and maintain high-frequency ultrasonic rodent repellent systems for server rooms, data centres, warehouses, and manufacturing plants across Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and India.
Why Rodent Repellent Systems Matter for Electrical and IT Infrastructure
Rodents - rats, mice, and squirrels - are responsible for a significant proportion of unexplained electrical failures, fire incidents, and data loss events in commercial and industrial buildings across India. Rodents gnaw cable insulation for nesting material and to keep their constantly-growing incisors worn down. A single rat can strip insulation from a high-voltage power cable, a fire alarm loop, or a server network cable - causing short circuits, system failures, and in some cases electrical fires.
In Gujarat's industrial belt, the problem is acute in food processing plants, warehouses, pharmaceutical factories, server rooms, electrical substations, and cable ducts.

Types of Rodent Repellent Systems
We install various electronic and physical protection systems based on facility type, area size, and infestation severity.
| Type | Mechanism | Coverage | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ultrasonic repellers | High-frequency sound waves (20–65 kHz) - inaudible to humans and most pets, irritating to rodents | Single unit: 50–100 sq.m. | Server rooms, offices, electrical rooms |
| Electromagnetic repellers | Electromagnetic pulses through building wiring - irritates rodents' nervous systems | Whole-floor coverage | Buildings with embedded wiring infestation |
| Multi-sensor combination units | Ultrasonic + electromagnetic + visual strobe | Enhanced coverage | Critical infrastructure areas |
| Cable protection conduits | Physical protection - armoured conduit for critical cables | Specific cable runs | High-value cable runs, server room cable management |
Where Rodent Repellent Systems Are Essential
Protecting critical nodes in your facility's infrastructure where rodent intrusion causes severe operational and safety hazards:
Server Rooms & Data Centres
Cable damage causes catastrophic system downtime and potential critical data loss.
Electrical & MCC Rooms
Cable gnawing by rodents exposes bare conductors, leading to short circuits and electrical fires.
UPS & Battery Rooms
Battery bank cabling is a frequent target for rodents, threatening secondary backup power systems.
Telecommunications Rooms
Telecom, fiber optic, and networking cables are extremely thin and highly vulnerable to gnawing.
Fire Alarm Panel Rooms
Damage to fire alarm signaling loop wires compromises critical life safety monitoring systems.
Warehouses & Cold Stores
The proximity of food products and commodities makes rodent presence almost inevitable.
Pharmaceutical Plants
Stringent GMP compliance and hygiene regulations demand complete exclusion of rodents from cleanrooms.
Cable Ducts & Ceiling Voids
Under-floor cable pathways and false ceiling voids act as the primary highways for rodent movement.
Frequently Asked Questions - Rodent Repellent Systems
Find answers to common questions about ultrasonic frequencies, safety guidelines, coverage design, and electronics interference:
Ultrasonic frequencies used in rodent repellers (20–65 kHz) are above the human hearing range. They are not harmful to humans. Some pets - particularly rodents kept as pets (hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits) - can be sensitive to ultrasonic frequencies. Dogs and cats are generally unaffected. We assess the specific environment before recommending a system.
Ultrasonic repellers are effective at deterring rodents from entering protected areas when correctly installed with adequate coverage density. They do not exterminate rodents - they create an uncomfortable acoustic environment that rodents avoid. Regular movement of units prevents rodents from adapting to a static sound source. For heavy infestation, ultrasonic systems should be part of a broader pest management programme.
A standard ultrasonic unit covers 50–100 sq.m. of open floor area. A 200 sq.m. server room would typically require 3–4 units, positioned to overlap coverage zones and avoid acoustic shadows from server racks. We conduct a coverage survey before specifying quantity.
Ultrasonic rodent repellers do not interfere with fire alarm systems, CCTV, or access control equipment. Electromagnetic units pulse through building wiring and should not be installed in buildings with sensitive medical or precision electronic equipment without prior assessment.
